Meghan’s passion for social change can be traced to a youth spent in the ultra-conservative Southern United States. Her experiences with racism, homophobia, and the culture of silence around injustice led her to become a dedicated advocate for social reform.
Meghan has spearheaded campaigns to provide humanitarian relief in disaster areas, such as earthquake-ravaged Haiti, awareness among HIV-affected populations, and currently the Black Lives Matters Movement. Her work in these areas resulted in her acceptance as a Nobel Peace Prize Scholar.
Fueled by her own encounters with familial violence and intolerance she hopes to gain tools to mend such wounds, and bridge the gap between people with powerfully opposing views.
In her free time Meghan enjoys training and competing with her dogs, Mandi and Tavi
